She sighs into the heJ.rt on the breath
The Violin shakes his rtears
His heart breaks at: seeing her clothes peeled off on the
river's edge
The pain frogleaps on the river into <the sea trumpeting
Where do I look for you ?
Sorrow to the edge of the sky"
Shehanai is sadness searching for herself
For her he rides ,the air
For her he evaporates and falls in a whirl on the
cruel land.
Or plugnes into the sea's womb -
Where do I preserve you - Oh, where ?
In the water's bubbles? In the breeze's corners?
Thus weeps the Shehanai.
The Violin drowns in the dead of ocean.
And the lonely Shehanai, then? Sinks, on the sands
And cries in Dhun Pahadi
And mixes with the Sea's foam
The breeze breaks the bubbles of the sea's breakers when
1t treads on them.
In ,the pain of pleasure
We sit down to it
To beat time on thighs
And mingle music wi:th our ,tears.
